OUR STAFF

OFFICE HOUSE AND APPOINTMENTS

Our Redding office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. All office visits and consultations are scheduled by appointment only. Working by appointment is necessary for our Oncologists and should provide the most convince to our patients and their families.

Our Mt. Shasta office hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Mondays only. This is a satellite office. One of our Oncologists will be at the Clinic on the 4th Friday of the month as well.

All consultation appointments are scheduled for one and a half hours, as well as revisits are scheduled for a half an hour. Patients are requested to bring a tape recorder as well as all their current medications to these appointments.

If patients are not going to be able to keep an appointment, we ask that they try and give 48 hours notice. This will allow us to schedule another person in their place. Patients waiting to receive medical attention will appreciate this courtesy as well.

We have requested that all patients coming in for an appointment please arrive 15 minutes early, as our staff has been requested by our Physician to do any necessary lab work prior to their appointment. We ask our patients to please be on time for there appointment and in return we will try our hardest to be on time for them. However, there are occasions that delays will occur relative to appointment times. Due to the nature of the patients we treat, sometimes emergencies occur. If we are running late we will do our best to tell you so; and, if necessary, we will re-schedule for another appointment time to avoid excessive waiting.

After Hours, one of the four Cancer Care medical oncologists is On-Call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can contact a physician through our answering service by dialing either our telephone numbers (530) 244-2223 or (530) 926-6855.

FORMS AND QUESTIONS?

Our new patient forms that are mailed out prior to your appointment are to provide us with the most information possible to help provide you with the best medical. Included in your packet is:

• A Cover Letter- that explains the date, the time and the location of your consultative appointment.
• A Billing Information Sheet
• A Medical Records Release
• An Informed Consent
• A Financial Policy for CCC

Remember that all the information you give us is held in the highest level of confidentiality. If you have any questions regarding any of the forms you are requested to complete, you may phone the receptionist or speak directly with the office manager, Jennifer Stahl. We stand prepared to handle any questions or concerns you might have.

BILLING AND INSURANCE

For your convenience and as a courtesy, we will bill your insurance, provided you forward copies of your insurance cards to the receptionist upon you arrival to the office. This does not mean that Cancer Care Consultants is a provider of your insurance, but will bill them on your behalf. Cancer Care Consultants does have a financial policy for your review and request that it be signed.

Cancer Care Consultants is acutely aware of the escalating costs of health care and insurance premiums, this is why Cancer Care Consultants strives to maintain fees which are usual and customary for our area, considering the professional services rendered. We believe that communication is critical to our relationship and have established a policy for our facilities. Of course, we welcome any questions or comments you have. We are a participating provider for the following insurance companies: Medicare, Blue Shield, Blue Cross, and Medi-Cal.

We will bill all insurances, but this is not a guarantee of payment. It is requested if your insurance deems a co-pay or deductible that it be paid at the time of service, or make arrangements to speak with the financial officer.

OUR PRIVACY PRACTICES

At Cancer Care Consultants, we believe that individuals have a right to adequate notice of our policies, procedures and practices with respect to uses and disclosures of protected health information. Cancer Care Consultants is required by law to maintain the privacy of your health information and to provide you with a notice of our legal duties and privacy practices.
